Variator rollers
Small rollers that, by centrifugal force, make the variator 'shift up'.
How it works
Housed in the variator, the rollers are flung outward as engine speed rises and push the movable face, changing the transmission ratio. Their weight is calculated specifically for your scooter. Worn or flat-spotted rollers clunk and degrade both acceleration and top speed.
Maintenance tips
- Replace them as a complete set, at the original weight.
- Flat-spotted rollers causing clunking need to be replaced.
