Front & rear sprockets (chain kit)
The sprockets that, with the chain, transmit power to the rear wheel.
How it works
The output sprocket drives the chain, which drives the rear sprocket bolted to the rear wheel. The front sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain wear together and are replaced as a set (a 'chain kit'). Hooked teeth or a worn rear sprocket cause noise, jerky power delivery, and accelerated chain wear.

- Replace the front sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain together as a kit.
- Align and tension the chain correctly.
