The approach: inspect the routing of every cable and hose at the handlebar with the bar turned fully left, then fully right, and put them back into their intended guides with enough slack for full steering travel.   4. Reroute the cable or hose through its intended guides and clips, on the correct side, following the original order and layout so it doesn't create a tension point.
  5. Leave enough slack for full steering travel, without excess (too loose and it can snag or rub elsewhere). Secure it with the original clamps/ties.
  6. For the throttle cable specifically: confirm that turning the bar to full lock doesn't raise engine RPM (test carefully with the engine running) -- a throttle cable pulled taut at full lock is a real hazard.
  7. Recheck, turning the bar lock-to-lock: steering should be free and smooth, with no cable going taut or affecting any control.
